The Maker Mural on Madison

In case you missed the announcement of Made in KC's new mural at 26th and Summit earlier this summer, here's your chance to check it out. The 112-foot mural celebrates a handful of Kansas City's most prominent makers, all the while brightening up the daily commute— the mural can be seen from I-35.

The mural was designed by Made in KC's in-house graphic designer, Grace Cantril. The represented makers on the mural are, from left to right: Ocean & Sea, Happy Habitat, Flint & Field, Charlie Hustle, Ampersand Design Studio, and The Object Enthusiast.

Made in KC concepted and created the mural in order to showcase a few of Kansas City's best makers and businesses and the wonderful artists the company works with. They also wanted to show their work in a different way, as it's not often a piece of work or design gets made into a mural— thus, it is amazing to see the art and brand identities of these makers blown up and come to life on a wall.

The maker mural was another great opportunity to work with mural artist, Rif Raf Giraffe, and support their work as well which isn't something we get to do too often.
