Located on 3550 Broadway, Monarch Coffee offers a new, refreshing atmosphere to the Kansas City coffee scene. The clean white surfaces and marble bistro tables give off a cool Parisian shop vibe while the service is downright Midwestern. Monarch has the most beautiful natural light pouring through the windows which makes it the perfect spot for a book club meet up.

Come here for: smooth creamy lattes & a picturesque, calm atmosphere with tons of natural light

Thou Mayest Coffee Roasters

If you know me well, you know that Thou Mayest Coffee Roasters is my home away from home. As in if I'm not working from home then I really am at Thou Mayest. You just can't beat the vibe and you can't beat the hospitality of the baristas. It's like the cafe version of Cheers. *cue theme song. And it feels like coming home.

Come here for: iced chai, lots of patio space, killer playlists & super rad baristas

Located in the heart of downtown, Made In KC Cafe is one of Kansas City's latest additions to the coffee scene and a brand new favorite of mine. It's location makes it the perfect spot to hunker down for an afternoon read.

Come here for: cafe au oui (yummy cereal milk latte), beautiful decor (those mosaic tile floors though!) & the best people watching view in the city
