Amy McDaniel

Amy is a Digital Marketing Strategist and Writer with a passion for elevating culinary and wellness brands through the power and reach of marketing connection, content, and strategy. With roots in Kansas City, Missouri and Tulsa, Oklahoma, Amy’s work spans from Los Angeles, California to Brooklyn, New York. Notable brands include Food Network, Whole Foods, and Title Boxing Club.

Growing up around the table, Amy has centered her personal and professional life around her one love: food. A self-taught home-chef, culinary enthusiast, and avid Bon Appetit reader, Amy spends her days contributing to, supporting, and enjoying the culinary and wellness worlds.

After receiving her Bachelors of Business, with emphasis in Marketing, from the University of Missouri Bloch School of Management, Amy began her career in Corporate Communications at a large engineering firm in Downtown, Kansas City. Throughout her collegiate career, Amy worked as a waitress for a local, scratch-made restaurant where she fell in love with the restaurant industry all over again.

Amy moved to full freelance in December of 2018; she created her LLC in March of 2019. A few years, clients, and milestones later, Amy is proud to work with national brands such as Whole Foods, Food Network, Bumble, Title Boxing Club, as well as support small, locally owned brands like French Market, Café Provence, The Market at Meadowbrook, and Verbena. Amy is also an Editor at local Kansas City publication, Made in Kansas City Explore.

Amy was accepted into the Tulsa Remote 2020 cohort, a program that recruits self-employed creatives to the city of Tulsa in exchange for grant. Amy currently lives in Tulsa, OK, with her boy and plant babies, commuting every month to Kansas City, MO, for work and play.
